I’m Lily. I identify as an artist. In certain seasons that looks like prolific creativity in the form of painting and writing and visual art in general. But in most seasons it looks like surrounding myself with beauty and being intentional in mundane life.

In my life so far, my portfolio has consisted of major pieces that I have shown and sold at different markets and shows, including the East Austin Studio Tour. As far as writing, I have placed in multiple creative writing and short story competitions, including one at Austin Community College. But these are the exciting exceptions that happen once or twice a year.

More regular creativity looks like a card or gift to a friend, a watercolor while waiting in my car, sketches at work, poems jotted down in my notes app.

I don’t want my creative motivation always to be for some big deadline or project or show. I want to be motivated and driven in the little things, in the daily. So here we are, my little experiment. I want this to be a place for me to put my art, my writing, my thoughts - for my benefit and others. To be a portfolio of my work and to be a bit of a creative diary for whatever life holds.
